Valle D’Aosta boasts a huge variety and richness of gastronomic products of all kinds.

The Fontina DOP cheese own a special place in this selection, and it is Valle D’Aosta’s pride.

One of the main first dish is the typical Valdostana soup, with beef broth, fontina cheese, bread in slices and polenta.

The second dish is the Carbonade. Its name refers to the color of coal, because that is how the beef becomes if cooked in a tasty red wine sauce.

Cheese fondue is excellent when eaten during cold winter and it is a tasty main dish made with fontina cheese.

About the desserts: Blanc Manger, Mont Blanc and the characteristics "Aosta’s tiles", biscuits with almonds and hazelnuts.

And finally, the famous Grolla of Valle D’Aosta, a mix of coffee and brandy, with sugar and spices.
